While National Monuments like Onze Molen, one of the few original windmills in the Cape, and the old churches in Durbanville and Parow bear witness to the origin of some of the early settlers in Cape Town North.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is acclaimed as one of the great botanic gardens of the world. Few gardens can match the sheer grandeur of the setting of Kirstenbosch, against the eastern slopes of Cape Town’s Table Mountain. 

60 Hectares covering the SE slopes of Table Mountain dedicated to indigenous flora. Open air concerts and recitals on Sundays, breakfasts and teas.

Tygerberg Nature Reserve

The 300-hectare Reserve on the Tygerberg Hills. It is situated in the extremely endangered West Coast Renoster veld type.
From "The Viewpoint" in the reserve, the Cape Peninsula can be seen in all its splendour. Hiking trails named after animals, cover 7680m and can comfortably be walked in 2 hours.

Table Mountain

From the top of Table Mountain you have magical views. There are winding walkaways, inquisite rock rabbits and wonderful flora. 

You can go to the top (1.084m high) with a cable car or walk. Table Mountain is also a National Park.
